Romer Absolute 7-axis inspection arm stations have both laser scanning and touch probe capabilities and are primarily used for the inspection of all components.
 
Ordinarily, parts consisting of complex 3D surfaces will be inspected by laser scanning with touch prove contact techniques used for linear dimensions and geometric tolerancing tasks.
 
Inspection results are validated by referencing the customer supplied 3D CAD model data.
 
Inspection reports are generated using either Polyworks Metrology Suite or Geomagic Control software packages and uploaded directly to the customer portal as required.
